MySite Memberships not displayed as expected. / MySite Memberships not correctly displayed

A User complained that his mysite memberships are not shown as he expected.


He has Access to Site A as Visitor,
to Site B as Member,
and to Site C as Owner.

So in theory MySite Memberships has to show all three sites, because he has access to it.

BUT: The User has only ONE Site in his Membership Tab. (SITE B)

The Reason:
Sharepoint Memberships are displaying ONLY "MEMBERS" of a SITE.
This is because a default user can have access to thousands of sites and has just to one site member rights.
So the real important information for that user is this one site, where he can change content.

Same scenario if a user is an "Editor" for a company. This User has for e.G Ownerrights for all Sites.
So he would see all Sites in the Membership tab. --> a very long list. --> this is suppressed by sharepoint.

As well for SharePoint Admins.

SharePoint will give you only the information in this tab, where you are defintiv in the MEMBER GROUP
